The Twenty-fifth Amendment or 25th amendment (Amendment XXV) defined the presidential sequence if something should happen to the president. The first in line is the Vice-President. It means that if anything goes wrong with the president like death or major sickness or resigned from the president post, then the presidential post will be operated by the president. In this amendment, all of the procedures are mentioned. So, when anything wrong will occur with the president, then the vice president took the step according to the 25th amendment. The 25th amendment needs little exploitation to understand it.
The 25th amendment is an important part of the United States Constitution. This amendment deals with the vacancies of the presidency and filling of the vacancies first by the vice president. According to this amendment, the vice president will get the first priority when president post will be vacant. For that vacant position, the vice president has the first right. When the vice president will take the vacant place of the president, then vice president post will be vacant and then someone will take that place. All of these are explained un the 25th amendment. It replaces the vague wording of Article II, Section 1, Clause 6 of the Constitution
And it does not specifically state whether the Vice President fill up the post of President or work as an Acting President if the President resigns, dies or infected by any serious health problem or he is removed from office or is otherwise unable to release the authorities of the presidency. If any purpose, the president is removed, then the place will be replaced by the vice president. The 25th Amendment was approved on 10th February 1967. This amendment is not directly related to bill of right but people of the United States need to learn about it.
The text of the 25th amendment is written into 4 different sections and those are written clearly.
Section 1. In the case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.
This section says about the vacancy of the post of the president. If the president died or he is removed from the position for any reason, then the president post will be occupied by the vice president according to the law. The first priority gets Vice president for the vacant post of the president. If the vice president is unable to take the post, then what to do is not said in section 1.
Section 2. Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress
In section 2, It is described the vacancy of the vice president position. If the post of the vice president is empty or vacant, then the president will nominate a vice president for the vacant post. The person will be president based on the majority votes of both Houses of Congress.
Section 3 is little heavier than previous sections. In section 3, it is described the vice president will be placed to the temporary or acting president whenever the President communicates to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President pro tempore of the Senate. The president will give written decision of his incapability and he cannot release the powers and responsibilities of his office.
Section 4 is the heaviest section in the 25th amendment and it is Vice Presidential Cabinet statement. In the section, you will get majority things of the 25th amendment in this section.
