The amend of the United States is a common thing like other countries. As the law of the United States is created by human being, so many problems are found. That is why the amendment is developed. By the amendment, problems and shortage will be fixed. The amendment is the legal way of fixing or correcting the law, contract, constitution etc. It is possible to update or edit the law, contract, constitution. There are some amendments are found in the United States and from 1 to 10 amendments are related to the Bill of right and rest of the of the amendments are related to other things. There are around a number of 27 amendments. The 13th amendment is one of the amendments of those 27 amendments.
The Thirteenth Amendment (Amendment XIII) or 13th amendment is the part of the United States. This is a bundle of rules of the abolition of slavery and involuntary slavery, except it is a process of punishment for a crime. This amendment was passed by the Senet of Congress on 8th April 1864 and passed by the house on 31st January 1865. This amendment became successful in many states on 6th December 1865 by the approval. This amendment is one of the amendments of 3 reconstructed amendments and it is followed by the American Civil War. Although, this 13th amendment is not a part of the bill of right but it is also a right for the human being. Slavery and involuntary slavery were the huge part of the US history. In 1864, by the 13th amendment the worst history of the U.S has completely stopped.
For a long time, in USA slavery and involuntary slavery were permitted and since the American Revolution, the states of the America has divided into more states. Then some states permitted Slavery and involuntary slavery and in some states, Slavery, and involuntary slavery were prohibited. Once the Slavery and involuntary slavery were protected by the provision of the Law. Among that law is Article I, Section 2, Clause 3 are common and popular. These threes laws are considered as Three-Fifths Compromise. After that time, many slaves become free by the President Abraham Lincoln in 1863 but on 8th April 1864, the Senate passed the law of amendment of abolishing the slavery. It is sufficient for the for the border and reconstructed of the Southern states.
Although the slavery was prohibited officially in the whole United States but the main was the Black Codes. At that time, white supremacist violence started. At that time, some black people was attacked by some white people and that time slavery is turned to another form of involuntary labor and it became famous in South of the United States. The involuntary labor is an opponent of the reconstructed amendment. So, again in new form those slaves become tortured. Some slaves were used as a sex slave and labor for a long time. Some slaves were sold by the sex trafficking or different forms of slavery.
It is necessary to know the text of the 13th amendment “Section 1: Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction. Section 2: Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation”.
Slavery in the United States was popular and it was difficult to stop and control. Many masters of the slaves were angry with the 13th Amendment. In many states of the United States was so popular. The institution of slavery was in all of the original thirteen British North American groups. The Older version of the 13th amendment, it was not clearly mentioned about the slavery and slave. There was found unfree persons in many provisions but as it was not clearly highlighted, so master type people did not give attention on that point. In Three-Fifths Clause, the sentences “on the whole Number of free Persons” and “three fifths of all other Persons” were found. In the Fugitive Slave Clause, “No person held to Service or Labour in one State” and they would be free or free can be escaping. In the 15the amendment, those things are fixed. In the 15th amendment, it is said that “No person shall… be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law”. Because it was considered that slaves were the personal property but by the 15th amendment the argue against the slavery was demolished. Thus between 1777 and 1804, the slavery system abolished completely. All these things happened gradually. Then most of the slaves became free and joined to work in the household service as a servant. The 4 million people became free and they were safe from the slavery and joined in different professions. But still, those slaves were tortured as a slave in different ways.
The United States started to expand and it increased the services in a different section. As the country was infected by the curse of slavery, so another new problem was created and that was hatting to the slaves from the white people. However, those slaves moved to different territories. If the slavery was not banned, then a war could occur. The war can be Mexican–American War. There are some other states including Mexico and Utah where slaves were moved. There was a spark of the Civil war and by the slavery stopped law of 13th Amendment, the ware problem was solved.
There were many states where 13th amendment was rectified and those states are Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Lowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin. Later other states rectified this 13th amendment. By the 14th and 15th amendment, 13th amendment fulfilled. The 13th amendment reconstructed by above the 2 amendment.
Although, currently the slavery is fully abolished from the USA but the law of the 13th amendment still exist and it is a necessary thing. Because the slavery can be triggered if the law of the 13th amendment abolished. It is necessary to know about the 13th amendment by all of the people of the USA. They will know the history of the United States from the 13th amendment and it is also necessary to know about the law as if they do not become tortured like before. If you do not understand the 13th amendment for the wording, so you should take help from experts and other websites.
